My Little Life

1. What is the one thing your love does for you that you can't live without? Hmmm...this one is tough. I think that more than anything I enjoy hubby's non-stop encouragement. He is by far my absolute biggest fan. He is always around to offer me support in whatever it is that I want to do. He offers the most constructive of criticism when I ask for it {and sometimes when I don't}. Everyone needs someone to encourage them to succeed, and my hubby is the one for me.  :)

2. When did you know your love was "the one"? I answered this earlier, but it was during our first date.We were at a Jeff Bates concert, and he was singing "Long Slow Kisses." The hubby was standing behind me with his arms around me and I leaned my head back against his chest. He leaned down and kisses my cheek and that was it. I knew then that I was in love with him already and that we would be together from then on.

3. Does your love have a special ringtone on your cell? Nope. He does not. But since he is one of the only people besides my mom and my sister to ever call me, there really is no reason to download one. I guess I could though. Just so he would feel special.

4. What are you attracted to most in your special someone? Another tough one. I can't pick just one. Initially, I was most attracted to hubby's eyes & his tattoo. LOL The tattoos give him a rough, bad boy type edge that I can't help but be intrigued by. When I started getting to know him, and now that we are married, I am most in love with his passion and his love for life. He gives everything more than 100% and always goes above and beyond what is expected. And he loves so deeply. The way he cares for me and for little man baffles me.

5. Did you know when/where he/she was going to pop the big question? I had an idea. We were actually already planning our wedding before he ever actually 'asked' me to marry him. He decided in January he was joining the Coast Guard and was going to have to leave for school in June & for all of the insurance reasons and dependency pay and stuff, we had to hurry and plan our wedding. He did propose to me though. Because my hubby is awesome and sweet like that.

He was actually looking to get one of his tattoos covered up and the places at home where we are from couldn't do it. So he decided that we would drive down to the beach {Panama City to be exact...only an hour and half or so from where we grew up.} We went and looked at tattoos like he said we were going down there to look at, and then we went out to the pier. It was closed {probably because it was February} and instead we walked down the beach. It was warm enough to take our shoes off and walk in the surf. He led me up the beach and we sat down to watch the water. He told me how much he loved me and that he couldn't imagine life without me. Then he pulled out a ring, looked at me, and asked me if I would marry him.

We were already planning the wedding and he knew I would say yes. But he also knew how much a real proposal meant to me. And the fact that he went through so much trouble to be sure that he did it right, was enough to make me cry like the girl that I am. February 23, 2008. Won't ever forget it. :)
