The Simple Woman's Daybook

{This is normally where the "Daybook" Logo would go, but I can't load photos for some reason, so use your imagination.}

For Today, November 2, 2009:

Outside my window...the sky is a little overcast, the air is cool & crisp and I am actually getting to see some changing leaves here in Alabama. I absolutely love it.

I am thinking...how nice it is to come home for a little while and visit and enjoy the slow, laid back pace of life in Alabama. I really do miss it sometimes [just not often enough to ever want to move back]. Things are so different here than they are in Florida.

I am thankful for...wonderful family who helped make Noah's first birthday party fantastic! He had so much fun and got so many wonderful new gifts and new clothes [all things he actually needed!] Everyone came and enjoyed seeing him and spending time with us. It has really meant a lot to me as a mom.

I am reading...aside from your blogs, nothing. Not right now. I really want to get the not-so-new anymore Nicholas Sparks book, "The Last Song."

I am hoping...for the rest of the week to remain stress free for us while we are here visitng. Please, please, please!!!

On my mind...what we are going to do for the rest of the week, who all is getting what time while we are here, what night Josh and I are going to go see Halloween II while it is still in theaters again, what night we are going to the fair [again]...you know. Stuff like that.

From the kitchen...no clue. I don't have to cook all week!!!!

Around the house...well, my house is spotless because no one is there. And the mother-in-laws house is pretty tidy too because I cleaned up all of our breakfast stuff earlier.

One of my favorite things...being able to wear my North Face jacket and all of my cute fall/winter clothes. Something I don't get to do in Florida and loving to do while I'm here!

A few plans for the rest of the week...Josh & I are going to see Halloween II one night, going to see Saw VI with my sister one night, going to the Peanut Festival one night, getting together with some friends at some time this week, going to the Parade Saturday morning...whew. Lots to do. Lots of people to see....busy busy busy!
