Thanking God on Fridays

It's that day again! Friday! My favorite day of the week. The day we get to kick off the weekend, and the day that I get to tell all of you what it is that I am thankful for this week.

I am thankful for...all of the things that God takes care of. There are always situations in life that you think aren't going to work out, things that stress us out, and things that we worry about. God has shown me this week that he is ALWAYS in control and will always take care of the things that we need.

I am thankful for...this new Bible Study the hubster and I are doing. It's teaching us how to read and really understand even the most indepth and confusing parts of the Bible. We are on a reading plan that will take us through the whole Bible in a year, but I don't know if we will get it done by then.

I am thankful for DISCOUNTS! Bought a bunch of groceries yesterday and didn't pay even close to what it should have cost. I love the "10 for $10" thing Winn-Dixie is doing. We bought 10 cans of Chef Boyardee [spelling??] Spaghetti & Meatballs (the hubby's favorite snack), 10 cans of Albacore Starkist Tuna (we love Tuna Salad!), and 10 of those little Easy Mac cups (Noah favorite lunch...atleast for now). They were all $1 a piece! I also LOVE the Dollar Tree. I buy my cleaning stuff and sandwhich bags and miscellaneous stuff like that there. That's usually where I get my toothbrush too :)

I am thankful Blog and all of the wonderful friends I have made through here. We haven't found a church home yet and it's hard to make friends in a city as big as St. Pete, especially you aren't plugged in anywhere. My blog has become my outlet and I look forward to getting online every day, reading the sweet comments that you all leave me, & learning about each of you. I feel like you all are becoming as much my family as anyone and I love learning about all of you. You guys make my day!

I'm plugged into the Coffee Girl network. You should check it out. Lots of fun! So excited!

Hey, Courtney!

So glad you linked up for coffee! I've enjoyed perusing around your blog and just love what you wrote about your incredibly sweet! He is a keeper.

I too, love the 10 for 10. Our local store does a mixnmatch deal so you don't have to have 10 of one thing. My husband once came home with 10 of the most random items (like 10 packages of hershey bars). he could have at least mixed in some Almond Joys.
Have a great weekend!

Hi Courtney - what a fun post! My dad was almost stationed at St Pete while I was in High school - ended up in Spokane WA instead!

We LOVE our 10/$10 at Kroger! Save TONS of money that way. And my coupons - I'm getting better using them, but am still a work in progress.

Ahhh - Starbucks is soooo yummy. =) Nice to share a cup of coffee with you this morning.

Gotta always love a deal!

I'm thankful for my husband, because although I stumbled out of bed today without time for a shower and threw on yesterday's dirty clothes, he told me I am beautiful.

We have 99 cent only stores over here. You can get the exactly bag of 3 romaine lettuce hearts for 99 cents that would cost you about 2.99 at the regular grocery stores. Or a container of blueberries that costs 2.50+ for 99 cents. It's great! Love discounted stuff. Anyhow, good luck with your continued search. Have a fantastic weekend!

Hi there! I just popped over here from somewhere! LOL. Not sure where just started blog jumping.
We live on the complete opposite side of the state near Patrick Air Force Base.
Just wanted to say Hi and that you have a beautiful blog.
Oh and I saw your tweet about the sippy cup thing and I don't think mine started using one until around a year old so don't get discouraged if he doesn't want it yet.
Okay I've babbled long enough.

What a great post! There is always much to be thankful for. Financial provision, a great Bible study, a great hubby, and great friends! What else could you ask for?

Hmmm, we have never really shopped at Winn-Dixie! Might have to try it out! (although we went grocery shopping today and came home to broken refrigerator).

Hi Courtney! This is my first visit to your blog :). I love it!! I love to see posts like this - just filled with thanks. I realize more and more how much I need Jesus to lead me through my days.

I hope you're enjoying your Bible study. It's so important to stay grounded in the Word, and often we can get discouraged when it gets too challenging. Good for you guys for tackling that challenge! :) I pray it will be fruitful for you (I'm sure it will be!)

Nice 'meeting' you! :)
