Thanking God on Friday's

After the day that I had yesterday, I am definately in need of a reminder of how much God has blessed me with. That's why I love these Friday posts. What a great way to take a step back and be reminded of how truly fortunate we are!
  • I am thankful for my husband. He is such a strong man. No matter what happens in life, he strives so hard to hold me up, even when I'm freaking out and crying like I did yesterday. I couldn't ask for a better man to spend my life with.
  • I am thankful for job security. Another one of those things that seems to be hard to come by in this horrible excuse for an economy. I get frustrated and irritated with Josh's job sometimes [like today...when he is supposed to be off and he is still at work], but I know that his job isn't going anywhere.
  • I am thankful for good friends. We are so fortunate to live where we live. Our neighbors have become second family to us and are wonderful friends. They are there for us when we need them (like yesterday when the power was out for 6 hours) and I couldn't ask for better people to live around.
  • I am thankful for breaks. Being at home with Noah all day everyday calls for a break occasionally...which usually falls about nap time. I love being able to just sit and relax and not have to do anything if I don't want to. Sometimes we need that in life.
  • I am thankful for ELECTRICITY! After yesterday, I can't imagine what people did way back when there was no power. The air conditioner, I guess I could make do without if I had to, but walking around with no lights would suck. That's one of those things that we take for granted because it is always there. Go without it for a few hours...it seems like an eternity.

I know it doesn't seem like a whole lot today, but right now those couple of things are really on my heart. I am so lucky. Even on the days that things are bad and seem like they aren't going to get better, I have so much more than I realize.

Thank you GOD for all that you do, even though I don't deserve it, nor appreciate it the way that I should.

Hi, I found you from SITS. I gotta say, I really like this post. I think it is so important to take a moment to just...be thankful. Even when times are tough. OK. Now I have to go back and look at your post for yesterday and find out why you were upset.

A great husband is wonderful to have a truly a blessing. I'm glad you have great supportive neighbors and friends since your family is away from you. If we lived closer we could hang too!

I just found your blog and it's beautiful! I love your layout and the "Thanking God on Friday's" is an awesome reoccurring post idea!!!

I live in Hawaii (my hubby is in the Army), and where we live on the island of Oahu, our power goes out all the time. Every time this happens I think, what did we do before electricity? Also, I'm more grateful for all the days we have uninterrupted electricity!

Have a great weekend!
