The Simple Woman's Daybook- 8/17/09

For Today...

Outside my window...the sky is blue and little bit overcast. Can't help but wonder if [and when] we are going to be getting some rainy weather.

I am thinking...that I am glad Noah went back to sleep for a little while so I can turn off Playhouse Disney! It's not as bad as a lot of cartoons, but when you can sing the theme songs to every single TV show that comes on before 10:00 am, it's time for a break. [Guess that's parenthood for you...and atleast it keeps him entertained in the AM.]

From the Kitchen...Alfredo & Cheese Chicken Breast [my homemade recipe :) ], Peas, Sister Schubert Rolls, and Mac & Cheese. YUMMY! [watch for a new Recipe post today and my 2 week menu plan!]

I am creating...a new filing system. That is on my MUST GET DONE BY BEDTIME list today. I WILL have my files organized and put up TODAY! (which means you all get to see pictures!)

I am reading...still haven't finished "Bad Mother" unfortunately. But I am starting on "The Power of a Praying Wife" today. **I was thinking about sharing that with you all. The key verses and what I am praying about each day. Would anyone be interested in that?**

I am hearing...nothing! Silence is golden!

Around the house...the ENTIRE kitchen got defumigated and scrub from top to bottom this weekend, so it is spotless. All that I need to get done today that I continuously put off last week is to clean the upstairs bathroom and vaccum. And I have a load of clothes to fold, one to dry, and one to wash.

A few plans for the rest of the week...catch up my blog. This past weekend was super busy and I have several posts that I want to get up that I didn't get around to over the weekend. I am tackling my files today, but before the week is over I want to get underneath the stairs cleaned out. I have intentionally avoided that had so much other stuff going on, but it will get done this week. I need to start checking on Birthday Party locations and ideas for Noah's birthday. I like to plan ahead [Any ideas for a 1 year old?]

I have found your post very encouraging! So many things going on so little time! I have *much* filing to get sorted out and organized as well...I just often wonder how long it will stay that way once I get it done, lol ;o)

Thank you for your post, you seem to have a beautiful attitude on life and I look forward to returning.

Blessings!

I didn't realize how behind I was on your blog. Great post and can you share your recipe? I hope you get your filing system done, I haven't even started mine yet...ugh! Good for you guess selling your movies. We don't have that many but I do remember selling my Sex & the City and American Pie and it was refreshing!
