Stealing another idea from Kelli :)

Well, I am stealing another weekly blog idea from Kelli (this weeks feature blogger!) She does a post every Friday listing things she is thankful for. I think in this high strung world that we live in sometimes causes us to overlook the little things in life that bring us the most joy...so, in honor of her blog and her fabulous idea, I too will be blogging a "Thanking God on Friday Post." Thanks for the great idea Kelli! When I grow up I want to be just like you.

*I am thankful for the opportunity to come home and visit with good friends and family. We only live 6 hours away, but it isn't the easiest thing in the world to get home and visit for several days at a time.
*I am thankful for good sleep! We had Noah on a sleep schedule and the trip to Alabama this week has thrown him off again. He's not used to sleeping with someone and doesn't really like his pack and play. I had gotten accustomed to sleeping 8 hours again and this past couple of days has reminded me how much I need and enjoy my sleep.
*I am thankful for homecooked food! Another thing that we don't get alot of in Florida. I'm a southern girl thru and thru and know how to cook good country food, but the thing is, you have to cook it in bulk. It's so hard to cook for just two people. With the funeral and all of that this week, southern hospitality has prevailed and we've gotten to eat some delicious food!
*I am thankful for nice weather. The weather has been beautiful this week! Not too hot and no rain. Sunny and breezy! The perfect weather to sit outside and talk and relax with family.
*I am thankful for salvation. With the passing of my granddaddy, I am more aware and grateful than ever for God's love, grace and eternal salvation. Nothing makes me happier than to know that my PawPaw is in heaven looking down on all of us and knowing that one day I will join him in Heaven.

I love taking the time to stop and remember the things that I'm thankful for. I need to do it more often. I'm glad you are doing it too! Nice weather and homecooking...sweet!
