Friend Making Monday

I am trying to start participating in these more than I do. I want to get my blog out there and find myself some more loyal follwers (which means if you enjoy my blog, tell your friends lol). So today, Jolanthe over at No Ordinary Moment is hosting today. Her questions are about vacations...something I know I could definately use!
This task has two parts {numbered ever-so-nicely for you}. You can do either one or both ~ it's up to you!
1. Tell us about the best {or worst} vacation that you've ever taken.
2. Tell us FIVE places/vacations that you would like to take at some point your life. It doesn't have to be next year...maybe it's the vacation of a lifetime or somewhere you just dream of going years from now.
I can't really remember the best or worst vacation to be honest with you. But I can definately list FIVE places that I would like to take.
1. New York City!- I'm sure this comes as no surprise to those of you who know me. NYC is the one place in the United States that I am adament to see before I die. I have always, always wanted to go. As an avid fan of shows like Friends and Sex and the City, I have always wanted to find myself walking down the crowded streets, window shopping at places like Coach and Juicy. Not to mention the vast amounts of tourism opportunities.
2. Europe- I mean all over Europe...Italy, Scotland, Ireland, all over France and England...the culture and the beautiful landscapes that make up Europe are unreal. I love literature and culture and there are places all over Europe where I could easily get my fix.
3. Australia- I'm not sure really WHY this place is on my list. I've known people who have been and said that it was absolutely beautiful. More or less, I think I'd like to go scuba diving (which I've never done) and explore some of their wildlife and beaches. Maybe even try my hand at surfing! (Ha. That was definately a joke. I can't even ski).
4. All over the US- Hawaii, Seattle, Boston, Baltimore, LA, The Keys, Alaska...just a few of the places in the good ol' U S of A that I want to visit. What's so awesome is that all the above mentioned except LA (that I know of) are available for us to live while Josh is in the Coast Guard. So very excited!
5. Israel, Jerusalem, and Egypt- Just to be able to walk the places that Jesus and his disciples walked would be such a humbling experience. -------------------------------
Alrighty. There you go. I could have probably named a few more places, but the list only calls for 5 so I will stop there.

Hi! Stopping by from SITS. That's a great list. Scotland is beautiful (but then so is the rest of Europe).

I love all the places on your list! I lived in Alaska for ten years before moving to the East Coast, and I always recommend it as a vacation spot. It was lovely to meet you via SITs!

I think Jerusalem would be amazing. I knew someone who went there and said it was great. I would love to travel the US too and see all that is has to offer. Maybe when the kids are older we can take a longterm roadtrip. Thanks for joing FMM!

Great site. New York is pretty cool. I grew up in NJ and had fam on Long Island so we went to the city often. Many yrs ago my hubby and I took a vaca at St. Pete Beach. It was so relaxing just hanging out.
